Dyslexia and ADD

A sizeable proportion of the population approach  life in a  ‘right-brain’ way. They are creative, visual and their thought processes are more like the world wide web than that of a straight line.

Examples of things they might find difficult, are:

  • Reading: technical ability or comprehension
  • Expressing themselves verbally or on paper
  • Staying focussed  (e.g. when reading or listening)
  • Handwriting
  • Balance and co-ordination (dyspraxia)
  • Time management, organisation
  • Maths
  • Behaving or communicating appropriately (AD(H)D)

How to become master of your own learning

I offer individual, tailored programmes to adults and children, using the Davis® approach to address the client’s specific goals. The client acquires tools to deal with the root cause of his difficulties, rather than focussing on the symptoms. Through increased self-awareness, he learns to recognise his patterns of  thought, behaviour and learning. He discovers how to break these patterns if they do not serve him, or how to build on them.

Our clients learn by doing and seeing.  With the use of clay they master the language of symbols, which paves the way to accessing their visual skills more fully to comprehend the written word, and to express themselves more articulately.

Once the client learns to trust his own perceptions and can maintain focus, he will be able to access his highest intelligence and express it more fully. This will naturally lead to increased self-confidence.

Ron Davis first published his book ‘The Gift of Dyslexia’ in 1994 and started teaching his approach in 1996. Since then more than 20,000 programmes have been given worldwide. We operate out of 40 countries and work in 30 languages. I have been giving programmes since 1999 and work as a Supervisor-Specialist, both in the UK and abroad.
